Jeremy Wade beschäftigt sich in seinen Arbeiten mit den grotesken Facetten der Alltagskultur. Im Rahmen des Festivals präsentiert er ein neues Stück über Hingabe und die Produktion von Glücksgefühlen in einer halluzinogenen Mischung aus ekstatischem Gottesdienst, Motivationsseminar und Hippiefest. Worin liegt die Kraft positiver Emotionen und wie kann man sie einer großen Gruppe übermitteln?
Nach seinem Studium an der School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam gründete Jeremy Wade in New York Chez Bushwick, ein Arbeits- und Wohnstudio für Künstler. 2006 erhielt er für sein Solo "Glory" den New Yorker Bessie Award. Seit einigen Jahren lebt und arbeitet Wade in Berlin. 2008 war er Stipendiat der Jungen Akademie der Künste. |

The works of Jeremy Wade focus on the grotesque facets of everyday culture. In the framework of the festival, he will be presenting a new piece about devotion and the production of happiness in a hallucinogenic mixture of ecstatic religious service, motivation seminar, and hippie festival. Where does the power of positive emotions come from, and how can you communicate it to a large group?
After studying at the school for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam, Jeremy Wade went to New York, where he founded Chez Bushwick, a studio for artists to work and live in. In 2006 he received the New York Bessie Award for his solo "Glory". For the past few years, Wade has been living in Berlin, where he received a Junge Akademie der Künste 2008 scholarship.
